Information processed when you visit

Our hosting and security providers may process technical connection information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and device details, requested URL, timestamps, referrer and security events. Alternative Korea does not ask for a diagnosis, medical record, passport number, payment-card number or resident-registration number on this website.

Email contact

If you email us, we receive the sender address and the information you choose to include so that we can answer the request. Do not send medical records, photographs, diagnoses, prescriptions, identity documents or payment information. Email is not an emergency or appointment-confirmation channel.

Analytics and outbound-link measurement

Alternative Korea keeps limited first-party engaged page-view records on the homepage, hotel, clinic and price-comparison pages and monetized travel-guide pages, plus a click record when a visitor uses a measured hotel, non-medical travel affiliate. Each record contains only a random event ID, the event time, a fixed page or click category, a fixed placement, the page or destination profile key and, for clicks, whether the link was a disclosed commercial path. An engaged page-view is recorded only after the page remains visible for at least five seconds or the visitor scrolls, touches, clicks or uses the keyboard while it is visible. Clearly marked deployment-verification URLs, browser automation and recognised crawler, inspection and performance-test user agents are excluded from both page-view and click measurement before a record is sent; the user-agent value itself is not transmitted or stored. This also reduces accidental loads, but it is not a unique-visitor measure. An engaged page-view record may contain one fixed traffic-source category: organic search, internal navigation, external referral, direct or unknown, or legacy unknown. This category is calculated in the browser from the referring host or standard UTM source and medium values; the referring address, UTM values and search terms are not stored. The application record does not contain a name, email address, IP address, browser identifier, cookie identifier, search query, referrer, free-text medical question, diagnosis, treatment interest or full destination URL. Duplicate event IDs are ignored, and transient per-client and global request caps limit obvious automated flooding without storing a visitor identifier in the measurement database. Repeat engaged views may be counted. During active measurement, expired page-view and click rows are removed after 90 days. A clearly marked non-commercial deployment probe may be stored to verify the live database; it is excluded from visitor metrics. Engaged page-view records and directional click events are not treated as enquiries, bookings, visits or revenue.

Google advertising cookies

Google AdSense is not active unless a valid publisher account and the required consent setup have been configured. If advertising is activated, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar technologies to deliver, measure and protect ads. Google may use advertising cookies to show ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this or other sites, subject to the visitor's choices and applicable law.

Visitors can review or change Google ad-personalization choices in Google's Ads Settings. Where required, a Google-certified consent platform will offer choices before personalized advertising is enabled. Alternative Korea does not use health or medical information to build personalized advertising audiences.

Accommodation and other affiliate links

A clearly labelled sponsored or affiliate link may allow the approved partner to record that a visit originated here and, if its conditions are met, pay Alternative Korea or the named referral recipient a commission. The site-wide LG U+ connectivity banner names Clinics Korea as that referral recipient. The partner controls its own cookies, booking process, prices, inventory, cancellation terms and privacy practices. An official direct-booking route remains visible where practical.

You may reject optional advertising choices when the consent message is displayed, adjust browser cookie settings, or avoid commercial links and use the listed official provider route.
