Verify the property identity and current official page
Begin with the hotel’s official website, not only an OTA listing or map pin. Match the official name, road address, telephone number and booking domain. A similar hotel name in another district can create an expensive routing mistake.
For an additional identity check, travelers can consult the Korean hotel-grade registry, Korea Tourism Organization accommodation information and the Seoul Metropolitan Government accommodation directory. A grade or listing does not confirm every facility you need, and participation can change, so verify current details with the property before visiting.
Alternative Korea’s hotel profiles are planning records, not rankings, medical-suitability findings or promises of room availability.
Compare the real door-to-door clinic route
Obtain the clinic’s full road address and correct branch before selecting a hotel. Measure the route from the hotel entrance to the clinic entrance, including station access, transfers, exits, elevators, stairs, crossings and the final walk.
Hongik University Station connects the Airport Railroad, Line 2 and the Gyeongui–Jungang Line. Myeong-dong Station is on Line 4, while Seoul Station connects the Airport Railroad with Line 4. These are useful planning anchors, but they do not prove that every hotel marketed under a district name sits beside the most convenient entrance.
Check the route for every confirmed appointment. A lower nightly price can be poor value if it adds difficult transfers, repeated taxi trips or a second hotel move.
Save the exact rate rules before payment
Cancellation and amendment terms can differ by date, room, package and rate. Save the conditions displayed for the exact offer you choose, not just the hotel’s general policy page.
Record the cancellation deadline and time zone, prepayment and refund terms, no-show charge, date-change rules, taxes and mandatory charges, guest-name requirements, occupancy, minimum check-in age, deposit and accepted payment method.
Official hotel pages show why this matters. Accor notes that special cancellation terms can apply, while IHG tells guests to check the selected rate’s cancellation policy. Keep the confirmation email and a screenshot of the rate rules.
Match check-in, luggage and the appointment schedule
Check the property’s published check-in and check-out times, then contact it if the flight arrives outside the normal window. Ask whether the front desk will be staffed, how late arrival works and whether the selected rate keeps the room guaranteed.
Do not assume early check-in or late check-out. Treat either as confirmed only when the hotel records it in writing. If an appointment falls near arrival or departure, verify pre-check-in and post-check-out luggage storage separately.
Station storage can be a fallback, but current location, item restrictions, acceptance cutoff, delivery route and collection window must be checked. Keep identity documents, valuables and appointment information with you.
Confirm the exact room features you need
A room-category name does not establish its layout. Ask about the booked room’s bed type, maximum occupancy, elevator route, shower or bathtub, refrigerator or minibar, temperature controls, desk, kettle, safe, power outlets, laundry options, housekeeping frequency and smoking rules.
Do not assume that an ordinary minibar is suitable for medicine. If temperature-controlled storage is required, obtain instructions from the clinic or medication provider and written confirmation from the hotel about what it can safely provide.
For a longer stay, confirm whether laundry and housekeeping are included, paid separately or limited to certain hours. Do not infer a service from a photograph.
Check airport access claims directly
The phrase airport access can mean a rail connection, nearby limousine-bus stop, paid transfer or only a driving route. Ask for the exact current service and the final walking route.
The official Holiday Inn Express Seoul Hongdae transport page, for example, identifies Hongik University Station and states that the hotel does not provide an airport shuttle. This illustrates why “near the airport train” must not be converted into “hotel shuttle included.”
Verify the airport terminal, train type, last transfer and hotel entrance on the day of travel. A hotel page and transport operator page answer different parts of the journey.
Verify accessibility with routes and measurements
If mobility is a concern, ask about the full route: curb, threshold, lift dimensions, corridor, bed clearance, bathroom door, shower access, grab bars and emergency procedures. A generic accessibility icon may not answer these questions.
Seoul Danurim Accessible Tourism Center publishes accessibility information and offers tourism-support resources. Availability and eligibility should be confirmed directly, and the hotel must still verify its own room and building features in writing.
Keep hotel and clinic responsibilities separate
Send the hotel practical questions about rooms, access, luggage, housekeeping, food service, transport and booking changes. Send treatment, medication, symptoms, aftercare and appointment questions to the clinic.
Do not assume that ordinary hotel staff provide medical monitoring, clinical interpretation or emergency care. If a clinic says that qualified observation or assistance is necessary, ask the clinic what arrangement is appropriate before booking ordinary accommodation.
Before payment, confirm the property identity, clinic route, exact cancellation terms, arrival plan, required room features, airport transfer and working contact details. A commercial link, when one becomes active, will be clearly disclosed and will not change this checklist.
Checked stay profiles
Compare the route before the room rate.
Alternative Korea keeps the hotel's official website beside its English booking route. Confirm the clinic branch first, then check live taxes, availability and cancellation terms at the provider.
